Yoga From The Heart is a community-based yoga studio in the heart of West Hartford Center. We provide a variety of yoga experiences, including heated and unheated. Reuniting, as a community, has never been more important.

We all so much need our practice of YOGA to cultivate hope, humanity, pride, acceptance and love. 

To achieve this and more we all must do our part to keep ourselves and our fellow YFTH members healthy and safe!

Our comprehensive studio reopening plan is comprised of every guideline set forth by Governor Lamont’s “Reopen CT” sector rules, as well as those of the CDC. These standards will empower all of us to do what we love, with no worries.

CLASS SCHEDULE:

All classes will be 60 minutes. Some classes will be video taped for our “Virtual” members. Taping will be of the teacher only. The max capacity for every class is 7 students plus the teacher. This adheres to CT. rules for 12 feet social distancing while practicing without your face mask. There will be at least 30 minutes between all classes to allow for thorough cleaning.

STUDIO AMENITIES:

There will be no mats or props available for use, except in Restorative classes, where a bolster will be provided with a freshly cleaned cover. You must bring your own mat. Our lemongrass cool towels will not be provided at this time. Water dispenser will not be available, you may bring your own and bottled water will be for sale at the front desk for $2. Mats, blankets, blocks and bolsters will also be available for sale.

DETAILED CLEANING AND PRECAUTIONS:

All teachers will be temperature-checked before their class. There will be a hand sanitizing station outside of the studio and social distancing markers throughout. Shoes should be left in the hallway outside of studio. Cubbies available in the Studio for purses, keys, etc. We ask that restrooms be used only as needed and not used for changing. The front desk has been outfitted with plexiglass and staff will be masked. Hepa air filters will be utilized. There will be touchless check-in, as well as other appliances. Studio will be thoroughly cleaned between classes and deep cleaned after hours. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available throughout the studio.

BEFORE CLASS:

~The new liability waiver must be reviewed and signed electronically before your first class. 

~ Book your classes online with the MindBody App, also available through our website under “Classes / Schedule.” CLASSES MUST BE BOOKED AND PAID IN ADVANCE. Please ensure you have a credit card on file for contactless payment.

~ No walk-ins will be allowed during Phase 1.

~ Check in with yourself…if you are not feeling well, have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, muscle pain, gastrointestinal symptoms or other symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend class. Cancel your reservation and stay home.

~ Individuals over the age of 65 or with other health conditions should not visit indoor establishments. Join us virtuallly or at one of our outdoor classes.

~ Bring what you need to the Studio…face mask, mat, sweat towel, and a filled water bottle.

~ Come dressed for class.

~ Leave early and arrive to class on time. Door will be LOCKED once class starts.

ENTERING THE STUDIO:

~ You may self check-in (on MindBody) from your car or if necessary at the front desk.

~ Face mask must be worn before entering the building and at all times, except on your mat.

~ You may enter the building 10 minutes before class. Studio doors will be locked until then.

~ Gel in at hand sanitizer station in the hallway.

~ Maintain social distance of 6 feet and adhere to distance markers. Please no hugs, but we do love you!

~ Upon entry and check-in, proceed directly to mat markers on the floor.

~ Bathrooms for emergencies only.

~ Please honor our time to clean and exit the studio after class, where you may catch up with your friends outside.

LET’S PRACTICE:

~ Mask remains on until you are on your mat!

~ Take only your mat and any props you brought to a marked mat space, which are 12 feet apart.

~ Maintain 6 feet social distancing, with mask on, at all times when NOT on your mat.

~ You may remove your mask once on your mat.

AFTER SAVASANA:

~ After class, put your mask back on, there are wipes for your items if needed.

~ Uses hand sanitizer at exit door.

~ Leave building promptly maintaining social distancing.

~ Take a ZEN SELFIE outside and tag @yogafromtheheart_ct to share the LOVE!

INFECTION PROTOCOL:

~ If you have or think you may have COVID-19, stay home and away from other people, to prevent the spread of the virus.

~ If you have tested positive, you can be with others after:

1) 3 days with no fever +

2) Symptoms improved +

3) 10 days since symptoms first appeared.

YOUR EXISTING MEMBERSHIPS:

~ All Unlimited Memberships (Unlimited Monthly and Unlimited 30-day New Student Special) have been frozen since our closing on March 14.

The days lost, due to our closing, will automatically be added to your account, before your Unlimited Monthly will charge for the next 30 days and before your

30-day New Student Special would expire.

~ All Class Cards, which never expire, will be available upon our opening.

VIRTUAL CLASSES:

As the Studio reopens, we will continue to livestream several classes a week and add them to our Class Library. We love our new hybrid Virtual and In-Studio membership. This allows you to get the quantity of classes in a week that you love, but also come to the Studio for your favorites!
